Bargaining Update 9/11/22: We Have a Contract!

Dear Union Siblings,

Amazing news – we have reached a Tentative Agreement! This was possible because of all the faculty who stood up for their right to a fair and equitable contract. The picket line the past few days bolstered the team – we are all stronger when we stand together in solidarity. 

Because we have a Tentative Agreement, the strike is over. All Faculty should return to all work duties tomorrow, Monday, September 12th.

Per our bylaws, we will make the text of the new agreement available for the members’ perusal seven days before a membership meeting at which the Active Members will vote to ratify the agreement. The Executive Committee will send out information about the membership meeting soon. 

More information will be shared soon, but the highlight everyone wants to know is this. Each and every one of our members will be receiving at least a $4,000 increase to base salary effective upon ratification, as well as substantial raises in the following years. Details below.

Year 1 Raise: 4% or $4,000 whichever is higher

Year 2 Raise: 3.25%

Year 3 Raise: 3.25%

Year 4 Raise: wage reopener
