Join the EMU-AAUP delegation at the #RedForEd Rally in Lansing, Tuesday, June 25!

Over the last year, teachers around the country have mobilized successfully to pressure state legislatures to significantly increase funding for public education.

Now the movement is coming to Michigan and you can be involved!

Show your commitment to public education and Michigan's students and teachers by participating in the #RedForEd Rally to demand increases in appropriations for education at the State Capitol this coming Tuesday, June 25. Governor Whitmer and other elected officials will speak at the rally, which is being jointly organized by MEA and the Michigan AFT.

We will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the EMU-AAUP office (2164 Washtenaw Ave.) to carpool to the rally and will return to Ypsilanti around 3 p.m.

We’ll have RedforED signs/posters. Lunch and water will also be provided. Please let me or Jake Altman (office@emu-aaup.org) know if you plan to attend so that we can coordinate the logistics and carpool.
